  • Eat often to lose weight

    Are you the kind of person who when you want to lose some weight,
    you stop eating?

    This is the worst thing to do. You only slow down your metabolism.
    The weight you lose is mostly from water and muscle. Listen
    carefully – the key is to eat every 3 hours to keep your metabolism
    active and keep your energy up. When your energy is up, you burn
    more calories!

    If you always feel like you crash in the middle of the afternoon,
    take a look to your lunch. You can probably reduce the portions, and
    try a little snack in the middle of the afternoon.

    Here’s a few snack ideas to keep you going through the afternoon,
    without filling up on junk and calories:
       -  Low-fat plain yogurt (3/4 cup) with fruit (1/2 cup)

     
       -  Homemade trail mix: (1/4 cup) mini shredded wheat,
          2 Tbsp of dried cranberries and 2 Tbsp of almonds

     
       -  Celery/carrot sticks with hummus (1/4 cup)

     Don’t forget to eat about every 3 hours through the day and you will
    see a big difference in your energy level. Small portions, but more
